Play and have fun with science. By presenting science as a game, la Cité des Sciences succeeds in enchanting both big and small.
This surprising architectural realisation, located in the Villette park, has one mission: allow children to discover science as a game while keeping the parents interested. On the program: an intergalactic voyage into outer-space, numerous exhibitions blending science and exploration with interactive games, workshops and shows.
And discover 2 'Cités des enfants' : The Cité des enfants for 2-7 years old gives a first access to science to the younger children. The Cité des Enfants for 5-12 years old offers six themed areas to explore. Each area is its own world with its own topic to explore: the body, water games, communication, the factory, the garden and the TV studio. And don't forget the Géode, a steel sphere that houses a giant 3-D cinema screen.
This playful place is a real success. You've only to watch your children's eyes dazzle as they walk out the door to know they had a wonderful time.
