The Fontainebleau Castle is a jewel of French art.
Before entering the castle, take a walk through the White Horse Courtyard (la Cour du Cheval Blanc), finished in the 16th-century and embellished a century later with a magnificent staircase in the shape of a horse-shoe. Afterwards a visit to the Pope's apartments and the Saints reliquaries (renovated in July 2007) is in order.
