The former Funeral Parlour of Paris has been renovated into a unique and innovative centre of contemporary creation.
The 39,000 m², of the former halls of the Parisian Funeral Parlour, now welcome artistic workshops, resident artists, exhibition spaces, two theatres, shops and restaurants...All underneath a surprising street protected by a monumental glass ceiling.
Inaugurated in October 2008, the CENTQUATRE is a unique centre of creativity and artistic production, open to all the arts: fine arts, music, dance, theatre, video, fashion, design, film and literature.
The CENTQUATRE is a living, working place that brings the artists and the public together on a daily basis. The centre is open to the public seven days a week!
In addition to the yearly program of festivals, plays and exhibits, the 104 proposes guided architectural and historic tours and the artists regularly open their workshops to the visitors.
